Dr. Cemil Izgi

Dr. Cemil Izgi is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiologist with over two decades of clinical experience and more than 15 years of active practice in the United Kingdom. He specializes in the diagnosis and management of complex cardiovascular conditions and is an internationally recognized expert in Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR). He graduated from Hacettepe University Medical School in 2000 and completed his cardiology specialty training at Koşuyolu Heart and Research Hospital in Istanbul.

Following his training, Dr. Izgi provided comprehensive invasive and non-invasive cardiology services before moving to the UK in 2010 to complete advanced subspecialty fellowship training in Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance at the Royal Brompton Hospital. He has remained at the Royal Brompton Hospital for the past 15 years, during which time he obtained UK specialist registration in cardiology and was appointed as a substantive consultant.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr. Izgi holds academic roles as an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the National Heart and Lung Institute and Academic Tutor at Imperial College London Faculty of Medicine. He has published extensively in leading medical journals and was awarded a Highly Commended Accolade at the British Medical Journal Awards.
